Parenting abroad is the same as at home and yet it is completely different. Expatriate children through the same developmental stages as at home but there are special issues at every age. Parents already abroad need to know how to deal with both the day-to-day difficulties and the long/term challenges of an overseas sojourn as well as how living abroad affects child development. Expatriate children are surrounded by others with different values and beliefs. How can parents communicate their most important values and beliefs to their children?

Raising Children Abroad I: Seminar

This workshop looks at the practical issues of raising children abroad. What effect will living abroad have on a toddler, a teenager? Which school will be best for our children? Can we raise them bilingually? How can I help my children? This Seminar looks at the practical aspects of living abroad with children.

Information: The impact of living abroad at different ages, schooling issues, language, adjustment, special needs children.

Raising Children Abroad II: Workshop

Surrounded by people from other cultures, how will your children grow up? What happens when they develop different ideas to yours? This workshop provides the framework and tools for making decisions on core values and raising multicultural children.

Vienna for Teens: Seminar

Moving is not easy for a teenager and it's an important time in terms of development. Parents want to help their children adjust and enjoy Vienna. Find out what there is to do and what the dangers are. What are the laws relating to drinking, driving and going out? What penalties and consequences can teenagers expect for various behaviors? Teenagers often want more freedom than parents, unsure about the local environment are willing to give. Learn about negotiating safe compromises, recognizing danger signals and where to find help if necessary.
